SAMSUNG LAUNCHES X120 X420 AND X520 NOTEBOOKS



Samsung will launch three notebooks based on the Intel CULV processors. Dubbed X120, X420 and X520, these notebooks are ultra light and sport an attractive design.

The X120 is budget priced. It has an Intel Celeron 1.60GHz processor with Intel GMA X4500MHD graphics. Other specifications include 2GB DDR3 RAM and a 250GB hard drive. The X120 has an 11.6-inch LED Display with 1366 x 768 pixels. 4 or 6 cell battery options are available. The machine weighs just 3lbs.

The Samsung X420 and X520 have better specifications. They can be configured with either an Intel Pentium Dual Core or Intel Core 2 duo based CULV processor. Up to 4 GB DDR3 RAM can be installed on these notebooks. The maximum hard drive capacity is 320GB. Graphics are handled by an Intel GMA X4500MHD.

The X420 has a 14-inch LED display. It weighs around 3.88 lbs. The X520 is the biggest among the three laptops and has a 15.6-inch LED Display. Samsung claims that the notebooks will give up to 9 hours of uptime with a standard 6-cell battery.
All of the three notebooks run on the Windows Vista Home Premium. Port options include an HDMI port, 3-in-1 card reader, Gigabit Ethernet, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Webcam, Bluetooth 2.1.

Pricing and availability
The notebooks will be available in Europe from October. They are priced €599, €649 and €689 respectively.
