POINT OF VIEW RELEASES MOBII ION 230 NETBOOK



Point of View has released a Mobii ION 230 netbook based on Nvidia Ion platform. Unlike most other netbooks which are powered by N270/N280 processors, Mobii Ion 230 uses an Intel Atom 230 processor. The Atom 230 chip is more common in nettops than in netbooks.

There are two USB 2.0 ports, audio ports, Wi-Fi b/g , Bluetooth 2.0, Gigabit Ethernet and HDMI. The machine supports the DirectX 10 standard.
Due to its powerful onboard graphics, Mobii Ion 230 can decode 1080p video content with minimal efforts. While gaming isn’t totally out of question, this notebook isn’t quite for gamers.

The 6 cell battery is expected to give more than 4 hours of runtime. Mobii Ion is available in three colors – lime, red and black. Prices start at $495.
